　角川ソフィア文庫はエラいなぁ。鳥山石燕の妖怪画を全部まとめた「画図百鬼夜行全画集」を発刊しているではないか。ネタ探しにジュンク堂にでかけ、発見した時はコーフンで発汗した。
　パラパラめくって画質はそこそこなのを確認しても、この内容でこの価格はうれしいなぁ、である。ポケットやカバンに放り込んでおいて、いつでも眺めることができるではないか。
　ジュンク堂の店頭で思わずポケットに入れそうになり、我ながら挙動不審だと思いながらレジに向かった。角川ソフィア文庫はいいなぁ。

　パラパラとめくっていると、ああ、こいつに取り憑かれていたんだなぁと思われる妖怪が。「震震（ぶるぶる）」。

　ぶるぶる又ぞぞ神とも臆病神ともいふ。人おそるおそるる事あれば、身戦慄してぞつとする事あり。これ此神のえりもとにつきし也。（画図百鬼夜行全画集：角川ソフィア文庫より引用。一部旧仮名遣いは修正）

　何となく続く怖気・寒気はこいつのせいだったか。などと考えると、ちょっと楽になるから不思議なもんだ。

　そういえば、胃の痛みの原因は「胃炎ですよ」と言われたとき、それだけでスッとキリキリが軽くなった。体が冷えると今もキリキリ痛くはなるが、体が温まるよう然るべき対処をすれば楽になる。
　クスリはキライだから飲んでいない。病気やケガは最終的には自然治癒力で治るわけだから、良くない事の正体＝病名が分かって、それが大した問題ではない事が分かれば鷹揚に構えることができて、自然治癒力がガンガン発揮される。今回の場合、処方されたクスリとかそんなものではなく病名を特定された、つまり正体を言い当ててもらったことが最大の治療効果を引き出したわけだ。
　憑物落としとか除霊と同じやん。

　憑霊現象が起こって、それを除霊するという場合。といってもボクはそういう現場に遭遇したわけではなく、テレビやテキストでの情報でしかないが、たいてい術を施す場合「この人には、何の某の霊が取り憑いておって、その方はどういう生涯を送って、こんなことを求めておる」というような事をいう。
　その場合「大変なモノが取り憑いているから、大変な労力（霊力）を使うから、お支払いも大変よ」という意味が込められていることが多いようだから要注意なような気がする。が、取り憑かれたものの正体が分かっただけでも、かなりプラシーボ効果があると思う。
　ま、それだけじゃ儲けにならないし、お願いした方も納得しない。そこで、それぞれの流儀においてさまざまな儀式を執り行う。術者の力が本物かどうかはこの際おいといて、効果があれば霊的な自然治癒力が発揮されることになる、のではないか。

　医療と除霊をまったく同じそ上に乗っけてしまうのはどうかと思うが、それでも、どちらにも「正体を言い当てる」という「まじない」という過程を踏んでいるのは間違いないんじゃないだろうか。
　あなたの悪寒は震震が原因だよ。あなたの悪寒の原因は風邪ですね。時代や社会が変われば全く異なるニュアンスの言葉だが、実は同じこと、という気がしないでもない。

　ゼエゼエ。真面目なことを書いていると、息が切れる。読んでいる人も息が詰まってそう。ということで、あるモノやコトを言葉でもって定義するのは、すべからく「まじない」である。
　コンセプトもキャッチコピーも、あらゆる言葉はまじないだ。法律も、社訓も、愛の告白もまじないだ。
　まじなって、悪い結果を引き出そうとするのが「呪い」で、言祝ごうというのが「祝い」だとすると、ボクはあらゆるメディアに乗っかっている「まじない」は呪詛ばかりのような気がする。
